SCAN REG Not Showing Up
I am running Internet Explorer 6 under Win 2K, and just the last week or so, it has started creating many directories at: C:\Documents and Settings\gord.mcfee\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files. There used to be around 5 with the temporary internet files in them. Now, I am getting as many as 12.

Go to IE Tools, Internet Options, Temporary Internet Files {Settings Button}, View Objects, Downloaded Programme Files. Check for unusual objects there. Wild Tangent is not listed on the Control Panel - Add/Remove, however shows up on Explorer Windows shown as wt, then lists quite a few folders and files.

The easy way to get rid of them if you use OE 5.5 is to open Internet Explorer and go to Tools | Internet Options. In the Temporary Internet Files I have used a batch file for quite some time now to deltree all Cookies, History, TIF, and Temp folders on boot-up and never had this problem with 5.0 or 5.1.

Temp Folders????
I have just had a long siege of getting back my Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, Frontpage Express, and assorted other files and programs. I also found the Frontpage Express files in a temp folder called DIR0000. Other assorted files were also in such folders - called DIR0001, DIR0002, etc.
